A visit to Chile has been high on Alan’s to do list for quite some time, so when his 50th birthday was due I suggested we should take Chile to the top of the list and do it! And I’m so pleased I did, this stunningly beautiful country has so much to offer, from deserts to snow topped mountains, this narrow long country stretches along the coast of South America through several climate zones.
Our adventure started in Santiago where we spent a couple of days exploring the city, before flying onto San Pedro de Atacama where we explored the Moon Valley, Atacama Salt Flats and Tatio Geysers.
We then flew south to the beautiful Lake District staying in Puerto Varas, from here we explored Osorno volcano and Petrohue Falls.
Flying on further south to Torres del Paine where we fell in love with Patagonia!
Finally we ended our Chilean adventure on a rainy Easter Island.

Liz, I could see the extra attention to detail in that shot, I suppose it's something Alan is yet to master :o)
Have a great time, say hi to Alan.
