In July 2019 we visited Jersey, one of the British Channel Islands, for a quick two night stay. We needed 40 tier points to achieve Silver status with British Airways (which allows us to secure our favourite seats at no extra cost on all our BA flights when they are booked), so after much trawling through options we settled on a visit to Jersey.
The island of Jersey is located in the English Channel off the coast of France - we fell very lucky with the weather and hit a period between a heat wave and rain - leaving us with very pleasant sunny days.
We flew from Gatwick to Jersey (25 minutes out and 45 minutes back) in British Airways' Club Europe (business class) which included access to the business lounges and a meal on the flights.
We used the Liberty bus (service 15) on the island to get from the airport to St Hellier and then walked to the hotel (15 minutes). We used the bus (service 1) from the hotel to Gorey Pier to explore the Mont Orgueill castle (not for anyone with mobility issues, it has lots of steps!)
Below is a selection of our photos from our 44 hours on the island.
