San Francisco to Las Vegas

We wanted to do a road trip that allowed us to visit Oregon and Washington also Yellowstone National Park and end in Las Vegas… so Alan came up with his San Francisco to Las Vegas (the long route) road trip!

With four weeks leave from work, this diverse road trip would take us through eight States, spending time on the coast, in the northern rainforest, in the mountains and desert!

There were so many highlights during this trip…

Wildlife highlights: Banana Slugs and colourful starfish in Olympic National Park, Orcas off San Juan Island and gorgeous bears, wolves & badgers in Yellowstone National Park.

Visual highlights: Redwood National Park, Mt. Washington, the stunning waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge, the picturesque Washington coastline and the beautiful sunny day we had for our visit to Golden Spike National Historic Site.
